Race & Performance Expo is proud to announce that Motor State Distributing has become the presenter of the 2020 Race & Performance Expo (RPEXPO).
After a year without a venue, RPEXPO has signed with the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center and Hotel to hold the 12th Annual Race & Performance Expo on February 21st, 22nd, & 23rd of 2020. Friday, Feb. 21st will be a trade-only day for Motor State’s resellers, while Saturday, Feb. 22nd and Sunday, Feb. 23rd will be open to the public and trade.
For more than 50 years, Motor State Distributing has been a leading distributor of high-performance automotive components for racing, street, and off-road use. Motor State offers a complete line of products to speed shops, auto parts merchants, machine shops, and chassis and engine builders. A trade-only day for Motor State resellers will provide relationship-building one-on-one time with Motor State’s vendors, helping to increase sales for all.
Director of Marketing Scott Wahlstrom said, “We’re excited to partner with Race and Performance Expo as the presenter of this great event. We’ve discussed a jobber show for years, and this is the perfect opportunity to make it happen.”
Wahlstrom continued, “Jim and his team do a fantastic job of assembling the top racing and performance manufacturers in the country, and filling the aisles with racers and enthusiasts for the entire weekend. Creating a “Trade-Only” day for our wholesale customers made sense because so many of our vendors are here, exhibiting at the show.”
The Race & Performance Expo has been the Midwest’s premier racing aftermarket product show for the past 11 years. Filling the 100,000 sq. ft. convention center with hundreds of high-performance product vendors, cars, trucks, and personalities, as well as the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge and educational seminars. RPExpo Marketing Director Tom Stockenberg stated, “We’re looking forward to partnering with Motor State. It’s a perfect marriage. It will bring a good mixture of resellers and consumers for a show this size, in addition to more high-performance vendors and products.”
This growing event provides ample opportunity for industry professionals and enthusiasts to network with racing retailers, race engine builders, car builder, sanctioning organizations, car fabricators and trailer manufacturers. Two days of educational seminars offered by performance manufacturers including Holley, Aeromotive, Edelbrock, Comp Cams and more are scheduled.
This event also hosts the Hot Rodder’s of Tomorrow Engine Challenge for 2020. This competitive event rewards youth with scholarship funds for their ability to take and disassemble then reassemble a high performance 350 Chevy engine. Some teams have been timed in the low 18 minutes! The teams come from throughout the USA to compete in multiple challenges with the final winning team announced in December at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Indianapolis.
